BRETT POWERS DID IT AGAIN!
On June 12th, 2016 Brett Powers announced his retirement. Later that evening JD Smooth defeated Lex Vegas for the World
title after he used an unknown substance to blind Lex Vegas. Brett Powers witnesses the incident and entered the ring to assist
his friend Lex Vegas and at that time JD Smooth began to belittle, provoke and challenge Brett Powers to a match. Lex being
the man he is advised Brett to accept the challenge but Brett turned it down and continued to help Lex. JD Smooth continued
to insult and challenge Brett and then JD Smooth stated that he'd put the title on the line. Lex Vegas insisted that Brett
go for it! Brett then entered the ring and after 1 minute and 52 seconds Brett became the 8 time CWA Champion with a pin fall
in the middle of the ring!
Brett Powers retired that day as the 8 time CWA CHAMPION!!!
In 2013 Brett went up against the US Champ Jay ICE and won the title in a falls count anywhere
match.
